The Government of India and the Government of Nepal, recognizing the ancient ties which have happily existed between the two countries;
Desiring still further to strengthen and develop these ties and to perpetuate peace between the two countries;
Have resolved therefore to enter into a Treaty of Peace and Friendship with each other, and have, for this purpose, appointed as their plenipotentiaries the following persons, namely,
The Government of India:
His Excellency Shri Chandreshwar Prasad Narain Singh, Ambassador of India in Nepal.
The Government of Nepal:
Maharaja Mohan Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana, Prime Minister and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Nepal, who having examined each other's credentials and found them good and in due form have agreed as follows:
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 1: There will be lasting peace and friendship between the Government of Nepal and the Government of India . Both the government, contrary to one another from the state , the state sector to: mutual respect and independence and accept to accept.
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 2: If there is a possibility of a major rift or rift with a nation that could disrupt the friendship between the two governments, both governments agree to share the news with each other.
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 3: Approves to maintain the level of ambassadorial relations prevailing among the representatives including the working class .
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 4: The two governments will reside in cities , ports and other places where they have agreed to appoint consular generals, consulates, vice consulates, other types of consulates and representatives .
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 5: The Government of Nepal has the right to import arms, equipment, ammunition, ammunition and other goods required for the security of Nepal from or through the territory of India. The two governments will consult with each other to decide on the course of action.
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 6: As a symbol of the close friendship between India and Nepal, both the governments agree to give a national treaty to the ideals of the governments in their respective territories to participate in the industrial and economic development of their countries and concessions and contracts for such development.
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 7: The Government of Nepal and the Government of India agree to reciprocate the privileges of other countries in their territory, such as residency, property, trade, commerce, travel and other similar privileges.
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 8: In all of the cases mentioned here, this treaty cancels all previous treaties, letters of acceptance and confessions between the British Government and the Government of Nepal on behalf of India.
🇳🇵🇮🇳 Article 9: This treaty will be implemented from the date of signing.
🇳🇵🇮🇳Article 10: This treaty will continue until one of the countries seeks to terminate the treaty with a one-year grace period.
